Transferring calls with a Polycom IP 335
Posted by , Last modified by Jennifer Millan on 25 August 2014 03:09 PM

The Polycom IP 335 is a popular model for mass deployment due to the large number of features and lower cost of the phone.  The form factor of the phone is limited in size so the soft-key menu is used for more functions.

To transfer a call, follow these steps:

  1. During the call, press the Transfer softkey
  2. Dial the extension for the transfer.  On our PBX, you can transfer directly to voicemail by entering 0 + the extension (e.g. 0535 for extension 535).
  3. Press the Dial key to initiate the transfer or you will have to wait for the phone to automatically dial which can create a delay
  4. Speak to the person to announce the call or proceed to the next step
  5. Press the Transfer softkey to complete the call or Cancel to retain the call and cancel the transfer

Sometimes you will want to transfer the call without any involvement, a blind transfer.  These are the steps to complete a blind transfer:

  1. During the call, press the Transfer softkey
  2. Press the Blind softkey
  3. Dial the extension for the transfer or dial the direct to voicemail option.
  4. Press the Dial key to initiate the transfer or you will have to wait for the phone to automatically dial which can create a delay
  5. The phone will automatically end your call and transfer the call.
